My how time flies. I can’t believe that this will be my 100th post to Morning Coffee Alt Rock. I started this blog 3 years ago because I was bored at work and wanted to create a way to share my love of music with my friends. The first few posts were all about music, playlists, and adding music to my every day life.

[ If you like to time travel, here’s my first post– Spring Driving ]

I love writing this blog (almost) every week. It’s a fun way for me to creatively write and share my experiences with you all, as well as get your opinion on certain things. I am so thankful for each and every one of you lovely readers.

For my 100th post I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do to make it truly special. I’ve been going back and forth, but I’ve decided to do a little bit of everything, music videos, links to blogs I love, as well as a quick life update. So, let’s get started!!

For the music portion….

These 3 songs have been on repeat for a while now, and I can’t believe I haven’t shared the links yet!

For your drinking pleasure…

A girl I went to high school with runs a seriously phenomenal blog called Beauty and the Beard. She always has delicious recipes, craft projects as well as drink concoctions. This is one of her recent posts and let me tell you, it is perfect for summer! She calls is a Brandy Slushy and it is every bit as amazing as it sounds. See the recipe and her blog here– Beauty and the Beard
For the update portion…

On the most exciting front… I found a wedding dress! It is everything I was hoping it would be and more. I can’t wait to try it on in my size and see how it will truly look. Now, however, is the waiting game while I wait for it to come in. Who knew 4-5 months could seem so long!

Steve and I are finally moved into our new house. It’s all painted and almost completely unpacked. It’s finally starting to feel like a home. I won’t be living there until we get married, but it sure is exciting to get it move in ready!

Yes, you read correctly. I am not living in our house until Steve and I are married. My apartment lease is up so I moved back in with my parents. Now for most people this wouldn’t be a huge deal; live with your parent’s for a while, eat their food, drink their wine, only see them at night… well that’s not the case for me. Since I work from home I spend the majority of my time at their house. Again, not a huge deal except that my dad also works from home so I spend my day with him. Between meetings and errands we aren’t together 100% of the time, but it’s still more than most.

I had just adjusted to this fact when I realized that my mom is a teacher which means that come June I will be hanging out day and night with both of my parents. Don’t get me wrong, I truly appreciate their hospitality, but that is a lot of time to spend with one’s parents after the age of 18. Luckily I have my own house to take refuge at in case it does start being too much family time. Bonus:: it will create some very interesting blog content.
Well that’s all I have so far. My 100th post. I hope that you continue reading and commenting. It’s been a very fun journey and I am looking forward to many more years ahead!
