I was talking to my dad the other day about to-do lists, keeping busy and other things of that nature when he reminded me of something my great grandpa used to say to us. He would turn to us and say, “If you want something done, give it to a busy person.”
I’ve always realized that when I have a lot of time on my hands I tend to put things off because I think I have so much time to do it. Unfortunately it’s times like this that I go about my business and forget about the one thing I needed to do.
It’s like those days where you have a slow day at work, but just one conference call at 1, but 1:30 rolls around and you realize you have completely forgotten about it. Chances are, that if you had a lot of things to do that day, the conference call wouldn’t have slipped your mind. Funny how memory works like that, huh? The busier you get, the more things you get done.
