Not Quite Perfect

This week has been crazy, and it’s only Wednesday. Last week I defended my thesis and passed. I have officially turned it in and it is being bound as we speak! In one week it will be in my hands and out of my mind! Wahoo!

More importantly, however, is the realization I had this week…

I believe everybody has something they would like to change about themselves. Now I’m not talking about their body, or physical features, but rather something more inherent.  Maybe it’s about the way they view something, how they fight, their work ethic, etc. Whatever it is, it’s something that’s ingrained in us that we wish maybe wasn’t.

These traits can be really hard to shake and could wind up having a pretty big impact on our daily lives. I guess the best we can do is work to improve ourselves and know that we’re not quite perfect, but that’s ok.

Ultimately, if we respect those around us, and stay close to the people who make us the happiest, we will make it through just fine.

  1. Congratulations on passing your thesis! I definitely have a few things that I’d like to change about myself, but I do try to only spend time with people who make me happy to be around. Life is better that way!
