Side note: As you may have noticed, I’ve redone the blog a little bit. A change every once in a while is good, right? Let me know if you like the new look!
Anyways, back to the reason for this post…
Lately I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about things that I want to do more often, hobbies I want to take up and what interests me. In doing so I have come across a lot of ideas that I always think sound like fun, but honestly I don’t think I could get into them.
These are the kinds of things that you wish you would like, but for the life of you it just never sticks.
1. Drinking tea- Trust me, I know all the health benefits and how amazing everyone says it is, but for the life of me I cannot make myself become a tea drinker. I’ll have the occasional cup, but I’ll take a coffee over a tea any day.
2. Reading- Now don’t get me wrong, I love to read. I love the feeling of not being able to put down a good book or waking up on a Sunday morning and reading out by the pool, but every time I try to do this I get tired and I wind up falling asleep. It might be because I haven’t found a book I have liked recently or that I’ve been jaded from all the reading a masters program gives you, but I can’t seem to get myself to want to read even though I like the idea of curling up with a good book (how’s that for a run on sentence).
3. Staying out late- Call me a grandma if you will, but I’ve tried it and I cannot get myself to like the night-time. I get tired, lazy, and a little crabby when it gets too late. For me mornings are the time when I get the most done and when I feel the most energized. I’ve worked hard on being able to stay up later, but it gets to be about 10 or 10:30 and I am all sorts of done for the day (no picture, sorry… how do you portray hating the night?).
4. Basketball- Unless I’m sitting at the game with a beer in one hand and a brat in the other, I’m so bored. I don’t understand how anyone can sit and watch the wretched sport! It’s like an over sized ping-pong match with a lot of fouls and crying grownups. ugh. no thanks!
I’m sure there are more, but those are the things I’ve been pondering about… What about you guys? Do you think I’m crazy or are there some things you wish you could like, but just can’t seem to get into sometimes?
